Long-term care is a ticking bomb that Boomers are ignoring. And the CLASS Act would certainly ease the short-term financial pain. With recent Nursing Home horror stories, many elderly would prefer "aging at home." While the proposed $75/day would not cover full-time care, it would certainly provide a few hours of vital supplemental or respite care by an accredited Home Health Care Agency. Julie Northcutt, owner of Caregiverlist.com, has written a thoughtful explanation of the CLASS Act and proposed National Long-Term Care Insurance and the difference between Medicare- and Medicaid- covered costs.
