UW Medicine Tumor Vaccine Group hosts third annual open house at South Lake Union

The UW Tumor Vaccine Group studies ways to use the immune system to fight cancer. These effort include research into new ways to diagnose, prevent and treat these diseases.

On Thursday, November 5th the Group invites the public to an open house where researchers will talk about their latest findings and ongoing research projects and give tours of the Group’s labs.

WHO:

Dr. Mary “Nora” Disis, Tumor Vaccine Group founder, researchers Dr. Lupe Salazar and Dr. Hailing Lu, staff, patients, cancer advocacy group members

WHAT:

Lab tours, presentations and a chance to talk with patients and cancer advocacy groups. Physician researchers will discuss new findings and research projects at this event, which is open to the public. Learn what it takes to make clinical trials happen—from the patient and research perspective.
