Washington state health officials have detected the bacteria E. coli in the water supply of the Riverbend Homesites development in eastern King County and are warning residents to boil their drinking water before use.

Health officials investigating the E. coli outbreak in Snohomish County, north of Seattle, say “the likely exposure site Ixtapa restaurant, 303 – 91st Ave. NE, #B201, in the city of Lake Stevens (east of Everett, central Snohomish County).”

Public health officials in Snohomish County are investigating the cases of 14 county residents who may have contracted E. coli infections.
So far, health officials have not been able to confirm the illnesses are due to the bacteria, but laboratory testing is underway.
