Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center to layoff 83

 Seattle’s Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center announced today that it will layoff 83 members of its staff. The Center blamed the global economic downturn. While income from federal research grants and contracts have remained stable, income from donations and investments is down, the Center said.
