Evergreen Hospital’s CEO Steve Brown resigns.

Steve BrownSteve Brown, chief executive officer at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center has announced his resignation.

Brown, who has led Evergreen since 2002, is leaving to become the President/CEO of the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College in Pennsylvania.

During his eight-year tenure, Brown has overseen the addition of a new Emergency Department, an eight-story patient facility, the five-story DeYoung Pavilion and the development of the Evergreen Neuroscience Institute.

Brown came to Evergreen from the Inova Health System in Fairfax, Virginia. He graduated from Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania and earned a Master of Public Administration in health care services from The Pennsylvania State University.

Brown is expected to remain at Evergreen through the end of February, 2010.
