Mark Morris Dancers Lead Class for Booth Gardner Parkinson’s Care Center

1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26

The acclaimed Mark Morris Dance Group will hold two Dance for Parkinson’s sessions at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center.

The free classes are for people with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers.

Dancing opens new vistas for Parkinson’s patients, even those who have lost some motor skills.

The movements stretch and strengthen muscles and people learn to use their eyes, ears and touch to improve body control.

A live accompanist and professional dancers lead the 1 ½ hour program.

WHEN:

Friday, September 25 at 1:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 26 at 3:30 p.m.

WHERE:

Evergreen Hospital Medical Center is located at 12040 NE 128th St. in Kirkland.

Parking is free.

Registration is required.

Class size is limited and pre-registration is required.
