New doctors at Virginia Mason
Six new physicians have joined Virginia Mason Medical Center.
Cardiology
Sara Weiss, MD, joined Virginia Mason in the Section of Cardiology. Weiss received her medical school training from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. She completed her internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship and heart failure fellowship at the University of Colorado in Denver.
Hematology and Oncology
Nanette Robinson, MD, joined Virginia Mason in the Section of Hematology and Oncology. Robinson received her medical school training at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She completed her internal medicine residency at Indiana University Medical Center in Bloomington and a hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Hyperbaric Medicine
James Holm, MD, joined Virginia Mason in the Section of Hyperbaric Medicine. Holm received his medical school training at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his internal medicine and emergency medicine residency at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago.
Nephrology
Andrew Weiss, MD, joined Virginia Mason in the Section of Nephrology. Weiss received his medical school training at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. He completed his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at University of Colorado Affiliated Hospitals in Denver. He also completed a transplant nephrology fellowship at University of Colorado Hospital in Denver.
Pathology
Steven Ruhoy, MD, joined Virginia Mason in the Department of Pathology. Ruhoy received his medical school training at Albany Medical College in New York. He completed his pathology residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a dermatopathology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
Podiatry
Anshita Thakkar, DPM, joined Virginia Mason in the Section of Podiatry. Thakkar is practicing at Virginia Mason Kirkland, Virginia Mason Lynnwood and Seattle Main Campus. She received her medical school training from Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences in Miami Shores, Fla. She completed her podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Memorial Regional Hospital South in Hollywood, Fla.
