Pandemic flu comic book available in 19 languages

no ordinary flu comic bookSeattle public health officials have prepared a 12-page comic book that tells the story of the 1918 influenza pandemic through the experience of one family.

The 1918 pandemic, also know as the “Spanish Flu” epidemic, killed an estimated 20 million people worldwide.

The comic book “No Ordinary Flu” is written for readers of all ages. It shows what to expect should a pandemic strike again and provides tips on how your family can prepare.

Copies are now available in Amharic, Arabic, Bosnian, Chinese, English, Farsi, French, Khmer, Korean, Laotian, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Tigringa, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.
