The American Lung Association has cut ties with its Seattle-based Northwest chapter, according to the Associated Press.

At issue is the sale of the of the chapter’s $3.2 million Seattle headquarters to a new lung foundation, called the Pacific Northwest Lung Cancer Foundation, for $10, the AP reports.

The American Lung Association has sent the Northwest chapter a cease-and-desist letter demanding that the local organization “to stop using the American Lung Association’s name, turn over its financial assets and take steps to get the building back,” AP reporter Gene Johnson writes.
